Eau Claire Immanuel: 55 (16-4, 9-3)
Gilmanton: 46 (6-12, 4-9)
Note: Immanuel continued to add to its record season with a win at Gilmanton. It's always a tough place at which to play. But at least the gym has new lights! And perhaps that was all it took to take away the spook. While Immanuel led pretty much from wire to wire, Gilmanton made its streaks and kept it close. Beginning the 4th quarter Immanuel was ahead 42-28, a seemingly comfortable lead. But Gilmanton turned the momentum to its favor. With 3:40 to go Gilmanton pulled it within three with a score of 45-42. But then an &1 was converted to start the pull away that Immanuel needed. In fact, Immanuel was 8 for 10 from the charity stripe in the last 3:30 minutes of the game! While Immanuel was tested in the final minutes, the team came out on top to maintain a tie at the top of the conference with Alma/Pepin. Alma/Pepin won 53-47 at Cochrane-Fountain City. This means Monday will be a big night for determining the conference championship. Immanuel will play Cochrane-Fountain City at home and Alma/Pepin will also play at home against Independence. Should Immanuel win and Alma/Pepin win, they would share the conference title. Should both teams lose, there would be a three-way tie for the conference title. Either way, Immanuel fans are summoned to come and cheer their team to victory on Monday night for the Small Dairyland Conference Championship!
