The WIAA has again updated a plan to go to 5 divisions in both boy's and girl's basketball. Last summer, August 2009, the WIAA had a plan in which various factors led to private schools playing up a division. This plan was posted on the
Aug. 13th post of this blog. In that plan, Immanuel would have had to play up a division since Immanuel resides in the Eau Claire school district where there are multiple high schools.

The plan that has now been released has no factors with regard to private schools. It is based strictly on enrollment numbers:
- Division 1 - schools with an enrollment of 1200 and above
- Division 2 - schools with enrollments ranging from 600 - 1199
- Division 3 - 50% of schools with enrollments between 200 and 600
- Division 4 - 50% of schools with enrollments between 200 and 600
- Division 5 - schools with enrollments of 200 and less
This would mean that Immanuel would be placed in Division 5. The tournament setup and sectional setup are discussed on the
WIAA website. This plan may likely be considered in June for the 2010-2011 season.
