Welcome to Immanuel. We hope you enjoy watching tonight's girls' basketball game. Both teams played games last week. Lake Holcombe opened the 2008 - 09 season with a nonconference win over Cadott (60 - 51). The Immanuel girls won at home against New Auburn (45 - 37) and won in overtime at Cornell (47 - 44). Last season in Immanuel's first game after the month long Christmas break in basketball games, Immanuel won 60 - 50 in a game at Lake Holcombe.

Lake Holcombe
The Lake Holcombe basketball team from the Lakeland - East Conference is again led by Coach Joy Webster. The team returns two starters from last season, senior Maria Dernovsek and sophomore Chloe Gulich. The varsity roster has six freshman including Molly Webster, daughter of Joy, and Paige Geist, cousin of April Oster.
Immanuel
April Oster, Stephanie Lau, Amy Roehl and Renae Markus are all averaging 6 to 7 points per game (ppg). Jessica Ohlman, junior post, is averaging 14 ppg and 11 rebounds per game. Senior Kelsey Albrecht seriously injured her right ankle last week at Cornell.
